In 1997 a revolutionary idea was conceived in the mind of a creative Swiss industrialist while marveling at the waterproof that occurs all around us in the plant and animal kingdoms.
Based on his vision, he gathered a diverse group of scientists with the sole purpose of working together on the next generation organic polymer. This polymer would allow for the creation of 100% waterproofing nano-coatings that were previously impossible.
The result became known as NANO ACRYL; a family of special resins that are: 100% acrylic, 100% water based and non-toxic.
This meant NANO ACRYL would be essentially the transport vehicle for all end product material properties. Using only the universal solvent of water, NANO ACRYL was able to accomplish this feat and is now in production.
From the first NANO ACYRL discovery, follows a series of exceptional products, each one unique in its own right, for determined market niches and ready to be manufactured and distributed anywhere in the world.
Based on NANO ACRYL and manufacturing breakthroughs, this groups of highly dedicated scientists created the first product in what has become the long list of innovative end products from NASACOAT®.

1999: Nasa Coat SA de CV, created the new generation coatings. NASACOAT® was established initially in the city of Guadalajara, where it developed industrial production processes with support from the University of Guadalajara.
2000: NASACOAT® moved to the city of Tijuana with the intention to establish its first research facility.
2006: After going through radical changes in company structure, the decision was made by the board to establish company operations in the city of Colima, Mexico culminating in the launch of the first, full scale, production facility.
2008: NASACOAT® begins selling these exceptional and unique products through an exclusive distribution structure throughout Mexico with rights retained by NanoTec Suiza SA of CV.
2010: Driven by strong customer recomendations and word of mouth marketing, NASACOAT® expands its customer base and business development activities into South America, Europe and the Middle East.
